You wake up with the best intentions, but by the afternoon, a stressful email throws you off or your to-do list feels impossible, and the next thing you know, you start saying: “Why bother? Things never change anyway.”

I was talking about this with Dr. Joe Dispenza on the latest episode of my podcast. We were reflecting on why so many of us feel stuck. Here’s what he told me.

Your body loves the familiar, even when the familiar is painful.

When you try to change, your brain treats the “unknown” like a threat. It can drag up past memories, fears, and doubts just to pull you back into what’s comfortable. But here’s something I want you to remember:

Discomfort isn't a sign that you're failing. It's proof that you're growing.

Every time you choose a new reaction over an old habit, you are actively rewiring your mind for something better. Over time, you’ll start to notice shifts in your behaviour or mindset. That’s where the magic happens because transformation, the kind that really sticks, doesn't happen overnight.

So the next time your mind urges you to retreat into what's comfortable, pause, take a breath, and make a choice to step into the version of yourself that you are building.

With love,
Jay ♥️

Today’s Takeaway

Stepping out of your comfort zone can trigger self-doubt, but that tension is proof that you're evolving. Rather than letting stress drag you back into old patterns, use those moments as reminders to practice a new way of being. You don't need a massive leap to change your life, just the willingness to choose growth over comfort.
