On yesterday's episode of On Purpose, I ask Simone Ashley: What are you trying to manifest right now in love?

Sit with that question yourself for a moment. What comes up for you?

Whether you’re in a relationship or not, what we long for in love can reveal something about what we need more of in our lives — and perhaps even what we struggle to offer ourselves.

Simone’s answer was one I didn’t expect:

“I think it’s just finding someone that doesn’t see it so complicated to do life with me.”

I had never heard anyone put it quite like that before: wanting someone who doesn’t find it complicated to do life with you.

There was something so simple, honest, and deeply revealing in that idea. Not searching for perfection, but for a love that feels safe to be seen in. It might not arrive when you thought it would. It won't always meet you when your life is uncomplicated, or perfectly in order. Sometimes, we need love to arrive right in the middle of the mess.

You don't have to be completely healed to be worthy of a healthy, uncomplicated love. You just have to be willing to let it in.

With love,
Jay ♥️

Today’s Takeaway

True compatibility happens when two people choose to be patient with each other. Sometimes, it may even require someone to see your guarded heart and choose to meet you where you are, wounds and all. You are worthy of genuine connection today, even while you are still rebuilding and healing from the past.

Thank you so much for meeting me here. See you back here tomorrow!
