How often do you check in with your nighttime routine?

We talk a lot about morning routines and how important they are, but the truth is, a beautiful day doesn’t begin when your alarm goes off. It begins the night before.

Think of your mind like a laptop. 

At the end of the day, you can’t just slam the screen shut while fifty different tabs are still open and running in the background. If you do, the battery drains over time. 

Your mind also benefits from a conscious shutdown routine.

Tonight, I want to challenge you to carve out thirty minutes before your head hits the pillow.

Try disconnecting from the digital noise. The notifications, the emails, and the endless scrolling are constantly telling your brain that there is still work to be done. Turn off the screens and give your body and mind permission to settle down.

Second, take a piece of paper and write down whatever is looping in your head: your to-do list, your worries, or your lingering thoughts. By writing them on paper, you are letting your mind know, "We can handle this tomorrow."

Finally, I invite you to end your evening with a moment of gratitude. Let your final thought be one of appreciation for the day that passed.

When you transition into sleep with peace, you increase your chances of waking up with purpose.
