Are you open to receiving?

I’m asking you this simple question because if you’re trying to call in something more, something new, something bigger for yourself (a loving partner, a fulfilling job, an aligned lifestyle, a like-minded community, or anything else you’re dreaming of), part of creating a better life is being open to receiving one

That openness isn’t always as natural as we think. It asks for a willingness to loosen our grip on how we believe things should unfold.

Many of us think we’re open to receiving gifts from the universe, a higher power, or the source of guidance you feel connected to.…yet we’re only looking in one direction.

We can be so fixated on things happening a certain way that we aren’t open to seeing the other opportunities that are available to us – opportunities that don't “look” like the exact path we're holding out for.

I’ve had moments in my own life where I was so certain about what I wanted that I couldn’t recognize what I needed when it appeared. Sometimes what arrives doesn’t match the picture you have in your mind, but it still carries the potential to move you forward.

You might be thinking, “Jay, how can I see what’s in my way?”

What I want to share with you is this: tapping into higher frequencies is how you open yourself up to receiving.

Higher frequencies may be accessed through things like: meditation, prayer, service, passion, purpose. There are an infinite number of ways to connect with a higher frequency.

When you spend time in those spaces, your awareness begins to expand. You feel more grounded, more present, and more connected to something beyond immediate outcomes. From that place, you start to notice new ideas, people, and opportunities with a different level of clarity.

If you’re spending your time tapping into lower frequencies, you’re blocking yourself from seeing what’s possible. Lower frequencies come from lower frequency behaviour: judging others, criticizing every new idea just because you don't understand it, and comparing yourself to others.

Those behaviours can be subtle, but they shape how you interpret everything new that comes your way. They narrow your focus and keep your attention on what you’re afraid of, which makes it hard to recognize what special gifts are already within reach.

So if you’ve been waiting for something to change, gently bring your attention back to what you’re tuning into each day. Small shifts there can open doors you didn’t even realize were closed.

With gratitude,
Jay ♥️
