Today’s Wisdom

Their refusal to give you closure can’t stop you from rebuilding your peace.

Read time: 4 minutes.
This is your permission to pause and take a little time for yourself.

Last week, we talked about The “Burnt Toast Theory” and how unexpected delays might be protecting you. This week, I want to explore another powerful framework: the "Unfinished Room Theory."

It’s the idea that every person who enters your life builds a room inside of you. Some furnish those spaces with warmth, safety, and a deep sense of trust. Others leave behind an unfinished room filled with unanswered questions, broken trust, and emotional clutter.

Without realizing it, we carry these unfinished spaces around with us every day. We use old blueprints to decide how much we’re allowed to love, trust, or open up again.

But everything shifts when you realize this: you don't have to stay in a room shaped by someone else's neglect.

Just because someone walked away and left a part of you incomplete doesn't mean it has to stay that way. You don't need their permission or their apology to finish the job. You have full agency to sweep away the debris, lay down a new foundation, and paint the walls a new colour.

Today I invite you to pick up the tools and design your house on your own terms.

Love,
Jay ❤️

Take a moment to look closely at the spaces inside you that still feel unfinished. You might discover that another person’s departure was never proof of your incompleteness. Ask yourself: What broken promise or unanswered question am I still holding onto, and how can I choose to move forward in my own way?
