How often do you find yourself softening your words to keep the peace?

Do you change your answers, tone down your boundaries, or stay quiet when there’s a disagreement? We often tell ourselves we’re just being flexible or easygoing, but there’s a difference between being open-minded and abandoning your own values.

When you refuse to stand firm, you are trading external harmony for internal conflict.

Standing firm doesn’t mean being aggressive or stubborn. It’s not about shouting down the people you disagree with. It’s about grounding.

It’s an internal knowing that your values, your boundaries, and your truth are worth protecting – even if it means standing alone.

And even more if it warrants an apology.

Think about a boundary you’ve been hesitant to enforce, or a belief you’ve been hiding just to blend in. Every time you compromise your ideas, you chip away at your self-trust. But the people who belong in your life will respect your clarity, even when they don’t share your perspective.

Today, I challenge you to choose integrity over approval. Stand firm, speak your truth with kindness, and hold your ground with grace.

With love,
Jay ♥️

Apology Tour is a new series where I ask strangers around the world one simple question: "Who do you want to apologize to?"

Apology #3 is out now, and it’s where you’ll hear Riley apologize for ruining his dad's one of a kind heirloom jacket.
