Today’s Wisdom

Being intentional with your mornings can protect your peace for the rest of the day.

Read time: 5 minutes.
This is your permission to pause and take a little time for yourself.

Still, most of us don’t wake up and decide what day we’re going to have. Instead, we let the day decide for us. In fact, before your feet even touch the floor in the morning, your mind may already be racing. It might pull up yesterday’s unfinished tasks, the emails you have to send this afternoon, or your never-ending to-do list.

Here are 7 specific affirmations to calm your mind and protect that time:

  1. "I am awake before my problems."

  2. "I am not yesterday."

  3. "Today I direct my attention."

  4. "I won't solve problems that haven't happened yet."

  5. "My body is not just a vehicle for my head."

  6. "I choose one thing that matters over ten things that feel urgent."

  7. "I measure today by who I am, not just what I achieve."

I invite you to try out these affirmations when you first wake up tomorrow morning, and see how differently your day goes.

Love,
Jay ❤️
