On Friday, we spoke about the pivotal moment when your personal growth turns into a desire to serve others.

Today I want you to reflect on the conversations you had last week. Take a second to think about the friends, family members, colleagues, and neighbours you talked to.

Did you find yourself in any of these situations?

  1. When a friend talked about their struggles, instead of just nodding along and offering sympathy, you found yourself connecting the dots. You saw the patterns holding them back and had an understanding of how you may be able to help them.

  2. You listened to a colleague who felt stuck at work, and you felt an intense urge to help them find clarity. You didn’t just want to comfort them with consoling words, but you wanted to help them see their own strength and find a way forward.

  3. Maybe you found yourself sitting with a family member who was handling a difficult situation, and rather than telling them what to do, you asked questions that allowed them to find their own answers.

If people frequently confide in you, look to you for guidance, or tell you that you are a comforting sounding board, it’s not by accident that you keep receiving those compliments. You are unknowingly playing the role of “coach” to the people around you.

You know how to hold space, offer fresh perspectives, and help people discover their inner truths. You possess the raw, natural qualities of empathy, deep listening, and a genuine belief in human potential. The people who know you best are already recognizing these traits in you and seeking out your wisdom.

You have the foundation.

Tomorrow, I am going to introduce you to real people who once stood where you’re standing right now and who are now using their skills in service of others.

Meet me back here tomorrow morning!
