This has the power to completely shift how you see yourself.

I want you to slowly (and repeatedly, if needed) read the quote below.

Charles Horton Cooley, an American sociologist, once said…

I’m not what I think I am.

I’m not what you think I am.

I am what I think you think I am.

Let that sink in.

We often live inside a perception of a perception… and base our self-worth on what we think others think of us.

If we imagine someone sees us as capable or worthy, we feel confident.
If we imagine they don’t, we feel insecure.

Most of the time, what we think other people think of us isn’t accurate.

Reflect back on your childhood.

Did you ever feel like the shoes you wore, or the backpack you carried to school, or the way you styled your hair was the gateway to being accepted?

It’s likely you believed other people’s approval would determine whether you approve of yourself, when really, you probably had no idea what other people thought of you.

Either way, it doesn’t matter. Fulfillment doesn’t come from external approval. It comes from aligning with your truest self.

How do you start to reclaim your truest self?

Look at what you truly value. Ask yourself why you’re pursuing what you’re pursuing.

Is the path that you’re on and the goals you’ve set for yourself your genuine desires, or are they coming from somewhere outside of you… family, friends, society?

Consciously decide: (Learn more in “Today’s Wiser Choice” below!)

  1. Do I really want to pursue this goal?

  2. Is there a more aligned way for me to pursue it?

  3. Should I let go of the goal completely?

Your answers to those questions allow you to start living a life rooted in authenticity, not in comparison or imagined judgment.

So, if you’ve been struggling with “not feeling good enough,” know this:

It’s never too late to find your own path, define your own worth, and live a life that feels aligned to you

This is your reminder to stop chasing what you think others want from you, and start chasing what your soul truly craves.

With love,
Jay ♥️

Support Strength and Clarity After 50

Women naturally produce less creatine than men, and levels decline further after menopause. Yet creatine isn’t just for bodybuilders. It’s one of the most researched nutrients for supporting lean muscle, bone health, energy, and cognitive function.

NativePath’s Native Creatine combines 5g creatine monohydrate (to support muscle and brain energy) with L-leucine (to activate your muscle’s “strength switch”) and L-carnitine (to help power the cells that keep you moving).

Learn more about Native Creatine and explore the three science-backed rules for maintaining strength—no gym required.

On Purpose

This month’s On Purpose Magazine is one of my favourite issues yet. I dive into my conversation with Nick Jonas, where we explored how the struggles you survive early don’t disappear; they become the imprint behind everything you create.

Nick and I also talked about faith being tested, identity being rebuilt, and how art becomes a way to metabolize the moments that once felt unbearable. Our conversation was honest, human, and a powerful reminder that when you understand how you entered the world, you begin to understand how you’re meant to serve it.

I invite you to download your February copy of On Purpose Magazine for a deeper understanding of Nick’s story.

Today’s Wiser Choice

Try This: When you’ve finished the exercise below, hit reply and let me know how it went!

  1. List your top 3 values. What truly matters to you? Don’t focus on what you think others expect.

  2. Look at your current goals or pursuits. Ask yourself:

    • Am I pursuing this because it aligns with my values, or because I think someone else wants me to?

    • Is there a more authentic way to follow this path?

    • Should I let it go entirely?

  3. Choose one small, immediate action today that honors your authentic self.

    • It could be saying no to something that doesn’t align with you.

    • It could be starting a project you actually care about.

    • It could be speaking your truth in a conversation.

  4. Take a breath and notice how it feels to act in alignment with your values.
