Today’s Wisdom
May the ordinary hold more wonder, and the extraordinary hold more ease.
Read time: 3 minutes.
This is your permission to pause and take a little time for yourself.
Not every chapter of your life needs a plot twist. Some are just for living.
Sometimes I think that we've started to confuse a good life with a documented one. Every meal photographed, every moment captioned, every ordinary Saturday measured against some highlight reel that doesn’t really change anything about our happiness, healing, or potential.
Somewhere along the way, unremarkable things started to feel like wasted time.
I know there’s some irony in this message from someone who spends his days creating content. Perhaps that’s exactly why I’m sharing it. It’s as much a reminder to myself as it to you: leave a little room for nothing in particular. For the walk, the tea, the conversation with someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time, or even the light coming in through the window.
This is your permission to let small things stay small. Let them be yours alone, and let that simply be enough.
Love,
Jay ❤️

Apology Tour is a new series where I ask strangers around the world one simple question: "Who do you want to apologize to?"
Apology #8 is out now, and it’s where you’ll hear Shayne apologize for distancing himself from his mom in the wake of his dad's passing.
